Step back in time: "Samantha Fox" album released today in 1987
On 1st August 1987 the "Samantha Fox" album was released in the UK.
Anticipated by the singles "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now" and "I Surrender (To The Spirit Of The Night)", the follow-up to the massive "Touch Me" LP featured collaborations with Full Force and Stock-Aitken-Waterman.
This self-titled work reached #22 in the UK Album Sales and remained in the chart for 6 weeks.
Highest ranking was in Norway and Switzerland at #3.
In 2009 the US record label Wounded Bird re-released the album with 6 bonus tracks, while in 2012 Cherry Pop repackaged it on a stunning 2CD box set format including a total of 30 tracks, newly designed CD graphics and a booklet with notes written for each song by Samantha herself.

Samantha Fox recently posted on her official Facebook page a picture showing her script for "Seven Cases".
While all fans are waiting for more pictures and details to come out, let's take a trip down memory lane by looking at the characters Sam played on big screen.
"Rock Dancer" was a major Bollywood production released in India on 3rd November 1995.
Sam was having a big success in the Country at that time and she was the first Western female popstar to be invited to star in a Bollywood film.
Written and directed by V. Menon, produced by Subbir Mukjerjee and starring Shammi Kapoor, Kamal
Sadanah, Ronit Roy, Sharon Prabhakar, Javed Jaffri, Johnny Lever, also featured was a special guest appearance from Govinda.
Sam is playing herself in this musical where a female dancer is injured and her sister gets trained to take over from her.

The second single off the "Samantha Fox" album reached #25 in the UK Top Singles sales and remained in the chart for seven weeks.
The best placement for the song was in Switzerland and Finland where it reached #10 in the singles chart.

According to the IMDB page for "Seven Cases", the movie directed by Sean J. Vincent will be released on March 2014.
